Assessment Lifecycle

7. Returning Marks and Feedback

The return of marks to students is done automatically via a feed to their Moodle area from the Student Record System. These marks are always subject to final approval by the assessment board.

The return of marked work and feedback will depend on the type of assignment task, as well as on the type of feedback being used. This should form part of the feedback plan made when the assignment is set.

Paper submissions, or feedback on ephemeral assignments, can be returned in class or by individual appointment.

Electronic submissions would normally be returned to students using the same tool with which they were submitted for marking.
