TechDis, the national advisory service on accessibility and inclusion, have produced a very useful
set of staff development packs. The first one, Accessible e-learning, includes a presentation explaining the advantages of resources being made available online. It also suggests “fixes” for those who might not be able to access a resource which might really add value for others. For example, a software fix suggested for an animated Powerpoint presentation helpful for dyslexic students but difficult for visually impaired students is to use the notes field to provide a description of the animation.
