Accredited Courses

At the heart of our Academic CPD offer is the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (60 credits) (PGCLTHE) and the MA in Higher Education (180 credits). The full progamme is available to Collaborative Partner staff (see information about costs below). Some staff may be particularly interested in:

Introduction to Learning Teaching and Assessment (ILTA)

ILTA is the first unit of the PGCLTHE. The unit introduces and applies core skills and techniques to teaching situations, set within a broader context of how students learn in Higher Education.

  • ILTA can be used in claiming Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. If you are interested in applying for HEA fellowship, please contact Stephen Powell or Kath Botham.
  • New and existing partner staff may wish to undertake ILTA in the lead up to their validation/review, or as new members of staff join the teaching team.
  • ILTA would meet the expectations for Recognised Tutor Status. Further guidance on the Recognised Tutor Scheme »
