Communities of Practice: Assessment

The terms of reference of the CoP are to:

  • articulate shared beliefs about the principles which underpin assessment
  • emphasise the importance of assessment in learning and teaching
  • provide a framework for the good design and practice of assessment across the institution
  • provide a basis for staff development in the area of assessment practice in HE

What does the CoP do?

The Community of Practice for Assessment:

  • contributes to University projects which have an element of assessment
  • identifies and discusses issues relating to assessment
  • produces resources, guidance, and examples of good practice for colleagues on assessment and feedback
  • ensures that advice and guidance on assessment is in line with the University Assessment Framework
