Project Details

The NUS Responsible Futures project aims to place social responsibility and environmental sustainability at the heart of education across UK universities and colleges.

The project was developed by the National Union of Students, who have developed an accreditation mark to assist institutions in equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to lead the world to a fairer, more just future for all living communities. Six students are hired to undertake the audit. The audit process involves examining all aspects of university life and giving a score to each given criterion. Students speak to members of staff from the institution, as well as looking at the curriculum and extra-curricula activities such as societies, social events and outreach projects.

Additionally, one student was hired through Jobs 4 Students to act as Project Assistant. This was Chloe Andrews, a recent graduate from BSc. Ecology and Conservation, who features in the film above.
