Forward Feedback

Project Details

Forward Feedback is a feedback variation. Instead of students receiving summative feedback after submitting their assignments, Forward Feedback gives students a chance to receive feedback from their tutor before they submit their work. This gives students the opportunity to act upon the feedback and to boost their results. Students who receive Forward Feedback do not receive any further comments on their assignments after submission. Wendy Wild’s analysis shows, the effect on student’s grades for those who took part last year significantly benefited from the process as they achieved higher grades if they took the forward feedback on board.
