Project Details

As part of their Continuous Monitoring and Improvement (CMI) plan the BA(Hons) Interior Design team, led by Shelley McNulty, made targeted improvements to their 'Organisation' and 'Assessment and Feedback' scores in the NSS. They produced a weekly planner for final year students to allow them to see 'what is coming ahead' in terms of expectations and assessment. The weekly planner is used in tandem with a 'L6 diet', which is linked to Learning Outcomes.

The weekly planner and L6 diet are integrated into weekly housekeeping meetings that complement the studio-based programme. This initiative has been highly successful in creating more confident, autonomous learners and gives all students more time to plan their work schedule and synthesis their process with expected Learning Outcomes.
