Retention and Student Success Project

The Retention and Student Success Project is a three year, cross-university practical project that contributes to the university’s mission to ensure a positive learning experience for all its students and addresses the imperative to improve student retention.

The RSS Project was established in July 2007 and will run until July 2010.

Project Aims

Retention and Student Success have been identified by the Vice Chancellor, Directorate and the Board of Governors as key priorities for the University for the foreseeable future.

The overall Retention and Student Success Project aim is to contribute to the cultural transformation necessary to meet the university’s change agenda by driving and co-ordinating an integrated, whole–University approach to student retention and success.

To achieve its aims the Project works with faculties, central departments and support services and students in a strategic and practical way.
