Assessment is the principal instrument with which we recognise and reward student progress, provide motivation for further achievement, identify areas for development in both teaching and student learning, monitor levels of achievement and maintain academic standards and help to prepare students for professional life.

An assessment toolkit has been developed which brings together resources from across different professional services to support programme teams to manage the assessment process. The first version of the tool kit has a specific focus on academic integrity and misconduct, supporting student assessment success, marking and feedback.

Courses marked (PU) are units from the PGCLTHE and MAHE which are also available to take individually, with or without credit. These units run as short courses over a number of weeks.
