Birley Place

What is Birley Place?

  • Birley Place is an innovation web-based virtual community developed by the Faculty of Health Psychology and Social Care at MMU
  • Birley Place is home to simulated people, services, and places that are used in a wide variety of simulation activities
  • The platform incorporates demographic and health and social care data in order to provide a rich socio-economic context for simulations
  • The content within Birley Place is collaboratively created. Academics can use existing content as well as add new people, places, or scenarios to the community
