Project Details

Last year, Textiles Technology flipped its classroom. It replaced the traditional lecture delivery and timetabled laboratory sessions with podcasts, workbooks and bookable lab times. This flexibility was designed to help students manage their time, progress at their own pace and take ownership of their own learning. As a result of taking this approach, student engagement with the unit increased and Jane Wood, Senior Lecturer in Textiles Technology, believes students are actually experiencing and understanding the content of the unit to much higher degree.
