Successful Grant Applications

A team headed by Mark Stubbs (Learning and Research Information Services) has been successful in obtaining a £400 000 grant from JISC under their ‘Institutional approaches to curriculum design’ initiative.

The project ‘Supporting Responsive Curricula (SRC)’ will ‘pilot agile, demand-led curriculum design processes that promote flexible delivery and enhance learner employability’ with a duration of nearly four years. Click here for a full description of the project.

Dawn Nicholson (SLTF in Science and Engineering), along with Professor Brian Whalley (Queen’s University, Belfast) and Margaret Harrison (University of Gloucestershire) has secured Small Scale Project Funding of £3,200 to undertake a review of assessment schemes and procedures for Geography undergraduate dissertations in the UK.

The funding is provided by the GEES Subject Centre of the HEA and the project will enable the identification and dissemination of good practice in assessment across Geography Departments in the UK.
