Staff Development Resources

The following set of staff-facing professional development materials are to support you, as a personal tutor, to support students.  They were created as part of the Office for Students Catalyst funded project Intervention for Success by Ben Walker and Alison Raby.

They are in the form of interactive e-learning resources using the software Microsoft Sway.  They can be used individually or in a group situation and contain the common features of learning outcomes, text and audio content, thinking points, case studies (some of which model real tutoring interactions), reflection questions and self-assessment.  The following Sways represent a selection of the full programme referenced in each resource.

Some of the themes below are also covered on our workshops on personal tutoring   If you would like to discuss any of them further (for example, if you are interested in UTA delivering a tailored workshop for your team), please contact Ben Walker at b.walker@mmu.ac.uk
